Since not all my readers get to movies on a regular basis and many of them will have avoided this one thinking it’s for children Windows 7 Key, herewith a brief description of the movie that will inform the reader and spare the curious of the need to pay money to see it.
The movie is a story of girl meets boy through a lottery and after a lot of folderol, girl gets boy. It is a wonderful story and that is why it made more than $155 million the weekend it opened. The movie is called The Hunger Games. The country in which all the action takes place is the capital city called Panem. Its wealthy inhabitants rule the impoverished people living in 12 Districts that once revolted against the capital and were defeated. To remind inhabitants of their subjugation, the capital conducts a yearly lottery in which a boy and a girl from each district are selected to participate in something called a “Hunger Game” put on by Panem’s rulers. The game takes place in forests in Panem and the goal of the game is for the children to find and kill each other. The last child to remain alive is the winner.
The 24 lottery winners are brought to the capital in preparation for the game. Each pair is placed in a beautiful suite and served great food and taught to ingratiate themselves with the sponsors of the game although why any of them would care what the sponsors think of them since all but one of them will soon be dead, is a mystery. In addition each of the children is introduced to a bloodthirsty audience in a television game show setting and questioned by a man who is modeled after actual games show hosts who are obnoxious in both appearance and demeanor. He asks the children the sort of vacuous questions asked on such shows and the audience hoots and hollers at the responses making some children really uncomfortable although not as uncomfortable as they will be when they are being killed (or as some viewers will be when watching the action.)
When at last the moment comes for the game to begin, the children are lined up and as the game begins, most of them rush forward towards some sort of goal and right then and there several children are killed by their fellow participants. That is quite exciting. Each time a child is killed a canon goes off thus enabling the not yet dead to figure out how many participants remain to be murdered.
As readers can figure out from the foregoing description, this has all the makings of a love story and the children responsible for that are the boy and girl from District 12. Her name is Katniss and his name is Peeta. It becomes clear before the game begins that he is sweet on her and during the game it becomes clear that she is sweet on him. Since Katniss and Peeta are in love the saddest thing that one thinks could happen to them is that one of them gets murdered which is Windows Vista Key, of course, what is certainly going to happen because those are the rules. Katniss spends her time in the woods hoping not to be killed and, when Peeta is injured but not killed, tenderly tending to him rather than killing him. The viewer cannot help but like the two children and applaud their efforts to survive so that one of them can return to District 12 as a hero but the viewer doesn’t know how the love part can have a happy ending since happy endings in love stories involve two people.
After 21 children have been murdered Peeta and Katniss end up trying to kill the only other child still living. To accomplish that, Katniss pulls out her bow and shoots the child who falls down torn limb from limb by ferocious beasts. That leaves Katniss and Peeta who are in love but know that the rules require one of them to kill the other. Just as they are gazing at each other sadly, a voice announces that the rules of the game have been changed and two survivors will be permitted. Peeta and Katniss embrace. Then the voice is heard again and says only one survivor will be permitted after all. At that point Peeta and Katniss start to eat poisonous berries so there will be no survivors thus turning the tables on the game’s organizers. The games’ organizers realize they have been outsmarted and say there will be two survivors after all and so Peeta and Katniss go back to District 12 and everyone is proud of them and they presumably live happily ever after.
There you have it and there’s no reason for you or your children to go see the movie. Just read them this column. It’s far less offensive than the movie.

reading a Mother’s Day message Sunday from her daughter, Lori Freeby suddenly heard a
sound she couldn’t place.
“I thought
the air conditioner exploded,” she recalled Monday.
The next
thing she knew, she was propelled out of her seat and surrounded by collapsed
walls.
What she
didn’t realize at the time was that a car had struck her Belvidere
home just a few feet from where she sat. She also didn’t know that a Somerset County man was dead in her
backyard.
The man
was Calvin Richards Body Piercing Kits, 55, of South Bound Brook, N.J., Belvidere
police said Monday. Richards was found dead after crashing into the
home in the 300 block of Market Street
about 4:25 p.m. Sunday.
Richards
was driving west on Manunka Chunk Road when he drove through a stop sign at Market Street, Belvidere police Chief Robert Yeisley said.
Richards struck a
guide rail in front of Lori and Jess Freeby’s home Professional Tattoo Kits, launching his Ford minivan into the air. While airborne, the car took down a tree limb before briefly landing in
the home’s driveway. Richards then skidded into the foundation of the home’s
recently added office, where Freeby was sitting. It wasn’t until she emerged
from her home that she learned of Richards.
“Everybody
kept saying Top Tattoo Guns, ‘He’s dead. He’s dead,’” she said.
Richards
was determined dead at the scene soon after the crash and had to be cut from
his vehicle, Yeisley said. It’s unclear how fast he was driving at the time,
but Richards exceeded the 25 mph speed limit, according to police.
Freeby was
transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Phillipsburg for treatment. Monday, sitting in her living
room, Freeby said she isn’t suffering from anything serious at this
point but is in pain from bruises all over her body. She doesn’t remember much
from after the crash, just a loud noise and her sudden flight from her office,
which houses her business, Freebytes Computer Services.
“It was like
a sonic boom,” she said. “I just remember the sensation that the whole thing
was caving in.”
Her
husband, Jess Freeby, was also home at the time but was in the main part
of the home.
“I was
sitting right here,” Jess Freeby said, indicating a computer desk near their
front door. “I just felt the whole house move.”
The couple
had their power restored Monday morning, after having it cut by Jersey
Central Power & Light on Sunday due to exposed electrical wires endangering emergency responders. The office
is still without power and is uninhabitable.
The cause
of the crash is under investigation, according to police. Yeisley said it is
unclear whether Richards died from the impact of the crash or other
causes. The cause and manner of his death is yet to be
determined, pending results of a toxicology report by the Morris County Medical
Examiner’s Office, he said.
Calls for comment to Warren
County Prosecutor Richard Burke were not immediately returned.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Consumer confidence edged slightly lower in April Herve Leger sale, while Americans also reined in their inflation expectations after a surge in the previous month, according to a private sector report released on Tuesday.
The Conference Board, an industry group, said its index of consumer attitudes edged down to 69.2 from a downwardly revised 69.5 in March. Economists had expected a reading of 69.7, according to a Reuters poll.
For March, the index was originally reported as 70.2.
The expectations index eased to 81.1 from 82.5, but the present situation index fared better, rising to 51.4 from 49.9.
“As was the case last month Herve Leger sale, the slight dip (in the main index) was prompted by a moderation in consumers’ short-term outlook, while their assessment of current conditions continued to improve,” Lynn Franco, director of The Conference Board Consumer Research Center, said in a statement.
“Overall, consumers are more upbeat about the state of the economy, but they remain cautiously optimistic.”
Consumers’ view of the labor market was mixed. The “jobs hard to get” index fell to 37.5 percent from 40.7 percent, while the “jobs plentiful” index also declined to 8.4 percent from 9.0 percent.
Consumers felt better about price increases with expectations for inflation in the coming 12 months easing to 5.8 percent from 6.2 percent.
March’s inflation expectation was originally reported as 6.3, the highest level since May 2010.

Just as welcome is a boost in torque from 300 to 332 pound-feet (when equipped with an automatic transmission) and 317 lb-ft (when equipped with a manual or DCT transmission).
The increase comes courtesy of what BMW is calling Version 1 Power Kit, which basically amounts to a reflash of the car’s computer system, and it can be applied to any 135i or 335i and all X6 models produced before April of 2010. These power figures bring the turbocharged machines up to the specification of the 2011 335is.
A second option is the Version 2 Power Kit Tattoo Supplies, which adds an auxiliary water cooler and “enhanced” radiator fan to the reflash on 1 Series and 3 Series models. The V2PK costs $1,199, a modest increase over the $599 of Version 1 considering the added hardware. Both kits also include an “exhaust burble sound during engine overrun conditions.” BMW is quick to point out other modifications may be necessary and that installation isn’t included in that price.
In case you’re thinking this all sounds rather familiar, BMW did indeed make a similar announcement a little while back. While that press release heralded the option for new buyers of the 2011 335i, this one indicates the availability of current owners to get the upgrade retrofitted to their cars while their warranties remain intact. Subaru has just released a bunch of new images of its Hybrid Tourer concept that is slated to debut next week at the Tokyo Motor Show. The gullwing wagon/hatch/thingy is Subaru’s first major cut at a hybrid and the first from anyone using a boxer four-cylinder engine. The AFL has backed Port Adelaide’s survival, with chief executive Andrew Demetriou insisting the league remains committed to working with the struggling club.
The Power hit the headlines for the wrong reasons on Tuesday when it was revealed that the SANFL, which owns the club’s licence and last year borrowed $4 million to help prop up the 2004 premiers Buy Herve Leger gown, was unable to continue to fund the club.
